I began teaching 7th grade science at Woodrow Wilson Junior High in 2007. After teaching 7th grade for 5 years, I transitioned to teaching 8th grade science in 2012.
Before becoming a teacher, I worked for a commercial fence company in Houston. This taught me great organization and management skills. After becoming a mom, I began working for Dayton ISD in the business office so I could be closer to home. While working with district employees, I began taking more science classes and working towards my teaching certification. Teaching children is my passsion and mission in life.
I have been married for 23 years to my highschool sweetheart. We have 3 daughters, 17, 15, and 9. We love hiking, biking, and being outdoors. We have beautiful dogs named Sox, Chaco, and Athena, and our awesome cat, Miss Grizz (Grizzly). We recently added chickens and rabbits to our little farm. Dull moments in our house are few and far between!
I love hiking, reading, and hanging out with my family! We are active memembers of Kenefick Southern Baptist Church and we also love being outdoors...preferably when it isn't 120 degrees outside! We love to laugh and it is my favorite sound in my household.
